On March 31, China Association of Agricultural Science Societies（CAASS）organized experts to evaluate the scientific and technological achievements of the four achievements completed by FFRC. The evaluation meeting was presided over by Zhou Xianlong, deputy chief of the Science and Technology Evaluation Division of the Human Resources Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, with academician Mai Kangsen of Ocean University of China as the leader of the evaluation expert group, Liu Yingjie, researcher of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, as the deputy leader, Xu Pao, director of FFRC, Xu Gangchun, deputy director of FFRC, Zhu Jian, member of the Party Committee and Chief of the Division of Science of FFRC, and more than 20 members of the evaluation project team attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Director Xu Pao first expressed his gratitude to all the experts for their attendance and hard work. He then introduced the R&D and application of the four achievements in general. He hoped that experts could give more valuable opinions and suggestions on the project and the scientific research work of FFRC, so as to promote the development of scientific and technological innovation and cultivation of scientific and technological achievements of FFRC. Deputy Chief Zhou Xianlong explained the documents such as the evaluation methods for scientific and technological achievements, and introduced the evaluation procedures of scientific and technological achievements and the specific requirements for qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Project leaders, Researcher Fu Hongtuo, Researcher Dong Zaijie, Researcher Xu Dongpo, and Associate Researcher Duan Jinrong respectively reported the research and development of their respective projects in detail to the expert group. The evaluation experts reviewed the technical data and the application of their achievements, through questioning, Q&A, discussions and comments, formed their individual evaluation opinions and comprehensive evaluation. They agreed that the “Key technology development and application of fine seed breeding and aquaculture of freshwater shrimp”, “Multi-trait selective breeding and healthy aquaculture of FFRC strain common carp No. 2”, “Aquatic Biological Resources Survey and Evaluation in Jiangsu Province” and “Digital Technology Integration and Demonstration of Freshwater Aquaculture Industry” are highly technologically innovative, advanced in technical and economic indicators, and have good industrialization effect, achieved good economic, social and ecological benefits, and has generally reached the advanced level at home and abroad.
It is reported that the evaluation meeting also invited experts such as Researcher Li Jian of the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Professor Chang Yaqing of Dalian Ocean University, Professor Lv Zhenbo of Ludong University, Professor Zhou Yongcan of Hainan University, and Professor Li Daoliang of China Agricultural University as members of the expert group.
