On August 12-13, Huang Pei, Deputy Secretary of Yuanyang County Party Committee of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, led a team to visit FFRC for the integrated rice-fish farming industry development in Hani Terraces, the joint construction of the whole industry chain of rice-fish-duck, and the upgrade of Yuanyang rural revitalization.
On August 13, FFRC organized a meeting on the integrated rice-fish farming industry development in Hani Terraces. Xu Pao, Director of FFRC, Ge Xianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC and Chief Scientist of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish System, Xu Gangchun, Deputy Director of FFRC and Post Scientist of the National Characteristic Freshwater Fish System, and Zhu Jian, Chief of the Division of Science and Post Scientist National Conventional Freshwater Fish System, attended the meeting. Xu Yanshun, Scientist in the processing of the National Conventional Freshwater Fish System, Professor of the School of Food Science and Technology of Jiangnan University, and Wang Li, Professor of Jiangnan University Grain Intensive Processing Laboratory were invited to attend the meeting.
At the meeting, Director Xu Pao said that FFRC will rely on the two major industrial systems, and the Key Laboratory of Integrated Rice-Fish Ecological Farming of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in conjunction with the research team of the Aquatic Products and Grain Processing Laboratory of Jiangnan University, to give full play to the linking role of the science and technology chain, collaborate to promote the high-quality rice-fish-duck products in Yuanyang terraces to the whole country and help the economic development of Yuanyang County. On the basis of protecting the material cultural heritage of the terraced fields, FFRC will help Yuanyang terraces to realize “a prosperous agriculture, beautiful rural areas, and rich farmers”, and promote the rural revitalization of Yuanyang to a new level.
Deputy Secretary Huang Pei introduced the current situation and planning of fishery development in Yuanyang County in detail, and elaborated on the technical requirements and difficulties faced in the development of the industrial chain. He hoped to establish a one-to-one scientific and technological assistance mechanism with FFRC as soon as possible to provide direct scientific and technological support services for the development of Yuanyang’s fishery industry.
Experts provided ideas on the problems in the development of Yuanyang County’s “One Fish” industrial chain.
Secretary Ge Xianping accompanied Deputy Secretary Huang Pei and other guests to Taizhou Anjing Food Co., Ltd., Xinghua Daze Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and Buhler (China) Manufacturing Machinery Co., Ltd. to learn more about aquatic product processing technology, processed products and rice deep processing related machinery and processing technology, and discussed enterprise operation management and brand building.
