On August 28, the First Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Aquaculture Animal Nutrition and Health, CAS was held in Wuxi. Academician Mai Kangsen of Ocean University of China, Director Xu Pao of FFRC, Secretary of the Party Committee Ge Xianping, Chief Li Qiang of the Dept. of Discipline and Platform, CAFS, all academic members and the core backbone researchers of each research departments attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhu Jian, member of the Party Committee of FFRC and Chief of the Division of Research.

At the meeting, Director Xu Pao briefly introduced the scientific research and development of FFRC. Chief Li Qiang made a speech on the development and layout of the key laboratories of the CAFS. The meeting reviewed and approved Academician Mai Kangsen as the Director of the Academic Committee, Researcher Ge Xianping and Professor He Jianguo as the Deputy Directors of the Academic Committee, Researcher Xie Shouqi from the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Chen Liqiao from East China Normal University, and Professor Zhou Xiaoqiu from Sichuan Agricultural University as academic members, and held the awarding ceremony of the key laboratory of the CAFS, and issued letters of appointment to the members.

Subsequently, Liu Bo, Chief of the key laboratory of the CAFS and Chief of the Dept. of Fishery Veterinary, Feed & Nutrition of FFRC, made a report from five aspects of “discipline, platform, team, project and achievement”.

At the meeting, all the experts present discussed the development plan of the key laboratories of the CAFS and made suggestions for the future work.
