Recently, the two achievements of “Key Technology Innovation and Application of Quality and Safety Control of Chinese Mitten Crab Farming” and “Key Technology Integration and Application of the Creation and Industrialization of New Cold-Resistant Varieties of Takifugu obscurus” completed by the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center and Nanjing Normal University won the first and second prizes of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences respectively.
In the achievement of “Key Technology Innovation and Application of Quality and Safety Control of Chinese Mitten Crab Farming”, FFRC has successfully developed a series of high-resolution screening technologies for potentially unknown hazardous substances represented by agricultural and veterinary drugs and high-throughput detection technologies for known hazardous substances, and constructed a high-performance detection system. In the past two years, the cumulative extension area is 963,200 mu, with an additional benefit of 853 million yuan, and significant ecological, social and economic benefits have been achieved. This achievement has been authorized 4 international invention patents, 14 national invention patents, 11 utility model patents, 1 software copyright, 2 provincial and municipal local standards, and 2 monographs. 110 papers have been published, including 5 SCI papers with an impact factor greater than 10 and 6 SCI papers in TOP journals. This special detection technology has been adopted by the customs system, which has increased the number of batch of Chinese mitten crab exported by Changzhou Customs by 187%, and increased the export volume of Chinese mitten crab from Huai’an Customs by 7.5 times, thus providing escort for the export of Chinese mitten crab to generate foreign exchange earnings.
In the achievement of “Key Technology Integration and Application of the Creation and Industrialization of New Cold-Resistant Varieties of Takifugu obscurus”, FFRC and Nanjing Normal University have made a series of achievements in the protection of germplasm resources, the selective breeding of cold-resistant varieties, early propagation technology and green ecological culture mode, and built a standardization system for the whole industrial chain of Takifugu obscurus. The achievement has won 22 national invention patents, 1 Korean (PCT) patent, 2 utility model patents, produced 1 new aquatic variety approved by the state, formulated 5 national standards, 2 industry standards, 11 provincial and local standards, and published 52 papers, including 28 SCI papers. In the past two years, the extension area of the new variety of Takifugu obscurus “Zhongyang No. 1” has reached more than 50,000 mu, the coverage rate of improved varieties has reached more than 50%, the increased output value is 1.867 billion yuan, and the increased profit is 280 million yuan. Significant economic, social and ecological benefits have been achieved.
