On July 31, Wei Qi, Secretary of the Party committee of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, visited the Yangzhong Scientific Research and Experimental Base of FFRC. Xu Pao, Director of FFRC, and Ge Xianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of FFRC participated in the investigation together.
Secretary Wei Qi first visited and expressed condolences to young scientific and technical personnel such as Shao Nailin and Sun Yi who have long been rooted in the Yangzhong base, and brought them consolation products such as seasonal fruits, and urged everyone to pay attention to the safety of scientific research and breeding production during high temperature and flood control. Then, they inspected the ecological breeding of river crabs, the research and development of engineering circulating water aquaculturesystem, and other technical research that are being carried out in the base, and listened to the report of researcher Xu Gangchun.
Director Xu Pao reported on the overall situation of the Yangzhong base's planning and construction, functional orientation, operation and management, focusing on the important role the base played in supporting project research and development, achievement cultivation, personnel training, foreign aid training and industrial development. Secretary Ge Xianping said that personnel training is the center's primary task, and it will continue to motivate young scientific and technological personnel to devote themselves to scientific research, and enhance technological innovation and industrial support capabilitis.
Secretary Wei Qi fully affirmed the construction and operation of the Yangzhong base, and said that the scientific research base undertakes the important functions of technology incubation, display, transformation, and personnel training. It is necessary to give full play to the role of the scientific research base as an important platform to strengthen the industry layout and promote the output of major achievements; to seize the opportunity of green development of aquaculture, transform and apply the existing outstanding technological achievements, and promote the healthy development of the industry.
