On the morning of December 4, FFRC held a Party member meeting to elect the new members of the Party Committee and the Discipline Inspection Committee. Wei Qi, secretary of the Party Committee of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Li Ling, deputy director of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee Organization, and Li Zhuwei, deputy director of the Party Committee of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Xu Pao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and director of the center.188 official Party members and 12 reserve Party members, representatives of democratic parties and non-Party members attended the meeting.
The meeting started with the solemn "National Anthem of the People's Republic of China". Secretary Wei Qi fully affirmed the achievements of the Party's construction and technological innovation of FFRC in the past five years, and put forward hopes and requirements for the new Party committee and discipline inspection committee.
The participants heard the work report made by Ge Xianping on behalf of the Sixth Party Committee of the Center, and the work report made by Wan Yibing on behalf of the Sixth Discipline Inspection Committee of the Center. The meeting adopted secret ballots and elected a new Party committee composed of Wan Yibing, Ge Xianping, Zhu Jian, Bing Xuwen, Hu Haiyan, Xu Gangchun, and Xu Pao and a new Discipline Inspection Committee composed of Wan Yibing, Wang Hongming,,Xu Sheng, Xu Yi and Jiang Gaozhong (in order of strokes of surnames).
After the Party members meeting, the new Party Committee and the Discipline Inspection Committee respectively held the first meeting. Ge Xianping was elected Secretary of the Party Committee of the Center, Xu Pao and Wan Yibing were elected Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Center; Wan Yibing was elected Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the Center
