On December 25, when the New Year's Day of 2021 was approaching, the Labor Union and the Youth League Committee of FFRC jointly held a staff sports meeting. More than 100 people participated in the sports meeting.

Before the sports meeting, Director Xu Pao gave a mobilization speech. He said that 2020 was an extraordinary year. With the correct leadership of the Party Group of the CAFS and the strong support of relevant units and departments, FFRC has made efforts to overcome the impact of COVID-19 and ensured the successful completion of the annual key tasks to achieve a successful conclusion of the “13th Five-Year Plan”; in the coming 2021, he hoped all the staff to take this event as an opportunity to further carry forward the fine tradition of solidarity and cooperation, to promote the high-quality development of the center's various undertakings, to ensure that the "14th Five-Year Plan" has a good start.

A total of 6 events were set up in the sports meeting, and 5 teams were formed by the staff representatives from 16 internal departments of the center. After fierce competition, the team consisting of the Dept. of Aquatic Biological Resources and Dept. of Aquatic Genetics and Breeding won the first place.

In recent years, the annual staff sports meeting has become one of the iconic activities of the center to leave the old and welcome the new, which has greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of the staff to work. The Labor Union and the Youth League Committee of the center will conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of the Party Committee of FFRC, give full play to the role of group organization, unite the majority of employees, make new contributions to the center in the new era to achieve high-quality development and enhance the comprehensive strength of scientific and technological innovation.
